Preparing for Your New pup!
Getting a puppy is so exciting put its also very important to set your pup up for success!
Down below we provide a puppy schedule, puppy tips, grooming, training, and our favorite products!

Puppy Schedule
A consistent routine is on of the most powerful tools you can give your puppy.
Puppies thrive on predictability. Their brains are constantly developing, and repetition helps them form strong associations that last. That’s classical and operant conditioning in action.
Routines help puppies learn that sleep happens in the crate, training means rewards, and calm behavior gets reinforced. But let’s be honest…. the perfect schedule doesn’t exist.
What matters most is that your schedule:
1. Meets your puppy’s needs (sleep, potty, structure, connection)
2. Is repeatable enough to build good habits
3. Actually works for you
So don’t stress if you’re not hitting the same times every day. Think rhythm over rigidity. Puppies don’t need perfection, but they do need consistency, care, and predictability.
What a puppy needs
Before you build a schedule, it is important to understand what puppies need before the age of 6 months old.
-
18-20 hours of sleep per day
-
1-2 hours MAX awake at a time
-
2 meals per day (can use extra food for training)
-
Short training (5-10 min, 2-3 times per day)
-
Crate is for napping and positive time
-
Potty after every nap and activity, about every hour until potty trained.

Repeatable Routine
Don't worry about a perfect timeline by the hour.
Instead, repeat this simple rhythm:
Wake>Potty>Activity>Potty>Crate for Nap>Repeat
Do this 3-5x per day depending on puppy's age and your schedule.
what does "activity" mean?
Between potty and naps, try:
5-10 min training (sit, stay, come, down, leave it, name)
10-20 min enrichment (scatter feed, snuffle etc)
10-30 min playtime
1-2 min handling (brushing, paws, ears)
